Black soldier fly (BSF) farming is simply a type of insect farming It simply means you are farming insects known as black soldier flies (Hermetia illucens) It's like farming other types of animals (poultry or livestock) Simply put, you are raising black soldier flies (insects ) for various purposes such as: 1. Animal feed: the larvae of BSF are densely rich in protein which can be incorporated into all types of animal feed.
